About Me

Hello, my name is Wendy. Teaching is my passion! I have over 20 years of teaching experience. I have worked with children of all ages in a variety of settings: a classroom, small group, individual, and virtual. For the past three years, I have been teaching ESL online to students from 3 to 18 years of age. During that time, I taught over 4,500 classes. I am TESOL and TEFL certified. Prior to teaching ESL, I spent more than a decade teaching children and young adults literature, public speaking, and debate. Over the past twenty-five years, I enjoyed watching many privately tutored students start with phonics and progress to speaking to large audiences. These nationally ranked speakers have won national speaking competitions, entertained audiences, and debated current topics and values.

My husband and I have been married for over 30 years. We have three children and three grandchildren. My family believes that learning is a fun adventure. We especially enjoyed our educational adventures in over thirty-five national parks in the USA and Canada.
